Precious Drop and fragile web
Every metro is facing the same problem; the problem of pure water. Delhi is no exemption. When people are gathering in the metro from nearby and faraway distances to find a descent livelihood the colonies enlarges. Only the basic structure of a two story changes to a multistory. The basic need of human being the water remains in the backyard unanswerable. We can see in the early morning people waiting in a long queue to collect water for their cut down needs. Of course it is a shame for the people who have a vast river lying so near by. The river Yamuna;once flowed with rustling fresh water all length long (some 1350 kms) is now at the verge of death. The greedy and irresponsible industrialists and common people put the last nail on her coffin. While we cross the bridge across Yamuna we will feel sympathy of her worn out cloths. We will surely close our nose to prevent the rotting stench from entering our soul. Some Rs 800 crore is funded to purify the river. The Yamuna Action Plan will not be a full success; it is sure. Yamuna is decaying for the last one or two decades and it is far away from the surgerical gloves. No doctor alone or no action plan can save her and reinstate the fresh current through her veins. …(to be continued on demand..)
